Hey @ChrisFix! I’m going to ask around on a few of these videos, but I need some help: I am going to replace my tires some time soon. I have some nice aftermarket, painted, aluminum-alloy wheels, and I want to take truly good care of them when taking of the old tire, putting on the new one, and balancing the new wheel-tire assembly. Can you show us how to best remove sticker wheel weights, matte-down the leftover brake dust, and give the wheels new life with their new tires?

I'm about to go out today and do this on my Acura TSX rims with duplicolor chrome finish. Thanks a lot for the awesomely straight forward informative video.
In theory this should give a good result. In practice your will take your freshly painted rims and new tires to a garage to have them mounted and balanced and they will come back scratched and gouged. Even when the garage is careful the spray paint isn’t very scratch resistant. You’re better off stripping and priming the wheel and then painting them after the tires are mounted and balanced
Is funny, I was looking a video to restore rims because I just bought a jaguar with scratches rims and I want to restore it to gift it to my dad, but idk if thos rims are original they are bbs but the jaguar is the sport version, and BTW I think is the same jaguar too

Is there an alternative to the metal reinforced filler? I only have one gouge I want to fix and I don’t need a whole $30 tub of the thing just a small tube would be plenty.

I don't know what the law says about dumping dish soap into the ground or nature in your country, but where I'm from, pouring "grey water" or water with chemicals to the ground is illegal and will get you fined. We can get around this by using bio-degradeable solvents and products. Could you make a video of how to make these yourself or where to find these environment friendly options?
