Communications Associate (Social Media) – World Food Programme

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the guidance of the Communications Officer and in collaboration with the multimedia producer, create and post high quality and engaging social media and digital content for country office social media platforms in both English and Arabic. This may include written articles, case studies, success stories and copy for videos and photo captions that showcase WFP's work in Jordan.
Work as part of the communications team to develop and roll out social media campaigns.
Ensure content is planned according to communications priorities and key messages and speak effectively to different target audiences.
Monitor and moderate comments on social media posts, intervening as appropriate to answer questions and guide the conversation. Schedule content to create a regular stream of posts content for audience interaction according to communications unit targets.
Work with staff to raise awareness of social media needs and encourage them to generate ideas for content.
Collect and analyze social media metrics to gauge reach, engagement and other performance measures for social media posts, accounts and campaigns. Produce a monthly report on the metrics and helping to inform results-based decision making and drive the effective use of resources and adjust social media plans accordingly.
Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in order to provide an aligned, coherent service, and to identify opportunities to collaborate/integrate processes and activities.
Monitor trends and propose new ideas to improve WFP Jordan’s social media content to help build followers and audience.
Assist the communications team with projects, events and general administrative duties as necessary.
