Why bleed out brakes in that specific order?
How exactly bleed individual wheels brakes?
We are leasing a 2020 Ford Explorer that was in for its 25,000 mile service. They said it needs brake fluid flush. The lease is up this December of 2022. Brakes feel great at the moment. Is it worth the 167.00 to do it? I left without doing the brake flush, but will re-schedule if I should.
What type of brake fluid does a Nissan 2021 kick take? Got this thing as a rental and the reservoir is almost bone dry
Sir Thank you for this video you saved me 150 dollars.
Question would a pressure washer work or would that be too much lol?
What happen if you put engine oil in transmission?
Great info and very entertaining
He should have his own tv show 👍
Argued with Ford mechanic trying to get me to let them flush my brake fluid at 30k miles. I kept saying no, as I know for a fact that it's fine.
They kept recommending every 30k, but my bro is a mechanic and said the fluid is fine.
A question, can you freshen up the brake fluid by taking 1/2 a quart out with the turkey baster, then top up with fresh brake fluid.
I got a Honda civic 1.6 vtec ep2 what oil should I use for it currently has 0w20 its a 2002 car
If you live in the rust belt like I do and you car if several years old, the first thing that will happen when you try to bleed the brakes is that the bleeder will break off, now you have a real problem. Just leave well enough alone and save the break bleeding to a mechanic when you need your brakes replaced, don't go looking for and creating problems.
For a while I thought John Lennon came alive
shi my 2005 Nissan got all it's old parts and everything and it runs good and it's been thru hell and back 😄
Interesting that it's recommended to replace the brake fluid every 2-3 years. I just got a brake fluid tester and it shows less than 2% water
in the brake line for my 2002 Mustang that's never been flushed or bled. Not bad for a 19 year old car. My 2014 Xterra shows 0% water and it's never been flushed or bled. So, I'm not going to run out and replace brake fluid until it's necessary. However, my Mustang is just one LED
away of needing to be replaced so I'll be flushing it and replacing the DOT 3 with DOT4. I considered DOT 5.1 but since I don't race the car….I just hope I can find the brake fluid tester a year from now…….
they say to bleed first from the wheel farthest from the ABS module, is that true? are all ABS module always on the opposite of the master cylinder? 2010 toyota camry le 2.5 here
Sounds like you can wrap a piece of sanitary pad around the cap, it’ll absorb the moisture already in the fluid thus dry up the fluid.
I never knew there was a tester!! Thank you so much uncle Scotty!
Only 35 dollars???ha ha its a joke?I go to my mechanic and check it for free. Not usefull idea …sorry
I bought a fixer upper 2002 Sierra for $1,500. Brake fluid was black like motor oil in this truck. New pads, rotors, & dot 3 brake fluid & this truck stops on a dime again.
I didn't understand anything he said
this man is low key the carversion of bill nye
I'm so glad that I subscribed to this man! He is awesome and has helped me solve a bunch of car issues 😊
I suspect Scotty showers with AT-205. Watching this in 2021 and the man hasn't aged at all….
Scotty: "But of course its a Toyota".
That looked very complicated so I let the garage guys do it. I knew I wasted my money.
My wife was pumping the gas pedal last time i did the two person method. Never again .
HA i can do it way cheaper than $35. I tested my fluid for free. All I did was drive my car home from the dealership I bought it from 2 hours away and when I got home the brake fluid was boiling a full rolling boil! Well, I guess I gotta flush the brakes!
I just came from my dealership and they wanted me to do a brake fluid flush. I asked why and they said well you have 86,000 miles and you have moister in the fluid. I just don’t trust them. I’ve been burned before. So does anyone have a thought on this?
Scotty's missing a ton of nuances that are important… not a good video.
That was very helpful and the only video I could find that gave me the exact location of the brake fluid reservoir…Thanks!!!
