30 komentarzy do „How to reset the Oil Change Light on your Jeep Renegade, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Compass, and Fiat”
Worked for me! For people that get confused at the depress the gas pedal. I Have keyless.. Hit button once and press gas pedal all the way down 3 times slow. Then hit start button again. Should clear.
Does anyone know how to reset a change parking or day light light? I replaced them and that engine light never goes away. Also, does anyone know how to get rid of tire pressure sensors or the light on the dashboard. And on more thing… anyone has their passenger airbag light come on and off if you move the passenger seat? And then finally, anyone has a stuck automatic roof? Won’t open. Just makes this horrible loud noise as it is trying to open but something won’t let it. Thanks if anyone can help, would help me save some money… I think I was told 600 to check all electrical stuff.. no idea
How do I reset the gas gauge? I have less than it says. Once I reset the thing that measures how much gas to pump in my renegade because the gas pump stopped filling before ful. It was something like blinker right, left, gas pump, etc… I can’t find it or remember.. I have a keyless Jeep renegade 2017 So I can’t put the key in accessory mode. I super really really appreciate if you could help. I have run out of gas twice when I was supposed to have gas left and wasn’t in the red zone and didn’t have a low fuel warning. My FIXD showed no codes for anything wrong. PLus the darn speaker icon is lit on my dash.. I dont’ care to fix but I hate seeing that too. My name is April and my email I’d demarcohouse@optonline.net. 🙂 Thank you in advance.
Thanks. Anything on the service electronic brake message? Parking brake engages on and off perfectly and all brake pads are still good. So what could it be?
This doesn’t work on mine and when I checked the manual it says that the light will automatically go off when you have changed the oil, it doesn’t go off on mine at all, tried what you’ve said also but to no avail. Given up now so it’s got to go back to the dealer, hmmmm I bet that’ll be cheap…. not lol
I tried for TWO YEARS to get the On/engOFF, Gas peddle x3, Off/engOFF, then clutch and start (On/engON) to work.
I have a 2017 1.4 ltr Manual 6 speed with a Prox key
Things I did per posts I've read, not sure if they had any impact… at all.
Probably not necessary: 1. Turned of auto e-brake (wheel chocks recommended)(be safe) 2. Turned off daytime running lights (in settings)(found in radio) 3. Turned off greeting lights.
What worked: 1. Turned ignition On/engOFF 2. Gas peddle x6 quickly (did not wait for gages to settle) 3. Turned ignition Off/engOFF 4. Pressed clutch and started (On/engON).
Why did it take 6 presses on the gas peddle? My guess, timing. As I stated above, I did not wait for the gauges to settle. I quickly slammed the gas peddle six times and quickly turned off the ignition, pressed the clutch and started the Renegade. To my utter surprise, I was greeted with "You have no messeges"!!!
Why are some people having issues? Well, as I guessed above, it comes down to timing. Every one of these vehicles has an over-reaching computer system (imo). I think this causes the acceptable window for this procedure to vary from Jeep to Jeep.
Disregard the 10 second rule. If you can do it in 2 or 3 seconds, thats fine. Disregard the 3 pump rule. You want to have at least 3 pumps hit your vehicles start-up window.
I hope this helps. This has bothered me for way too long.
Thank you so much ☺️
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much I appreciate the video👍🏻
En español que dice?
Thanks😁🇺🇸

Thanks for sharing the information was spot on😉
Thanks man.
You are really great.
You should specify that you need to press the gas pedal all the way in completely in order for it to work. Thanks for the vid helped a lot

If you have the standard 6 speed READ this.
