Rust removal and repair. Repairing rust on your car is something that should be done quickly to prevent it from spreading. It can be easily done without welding, by using strong but inexpensive body filler. You can even paint the car yourself. Rust repair is common at the wheel wells and rocker panels of cars and in this video I show the proper and most thorough way to remove and repair rust.

Thanks for the help Chris! We patched 2 holes on my ‘99 corolla, each a foot managed to clean and protect all rust in the process! Also cleaned up many ripples in the doors and roof! It looks new again!
great vid. Hawaii=rust. Honda CRV hinges on the hood totally decomposed/broke off w/opening hood:( Anything/suggestions? you don't have any vids on hinge repair/rebuild…Aloha:)
This is a great video! Back when I was young, taking whatever job in the auto industry I could find. I landed a position as a “strip & prep” guy. That job only lasted for one summer but I learned a lot from the experienced body and paint techs. 10 years later I find myself needing to repair some rust on a vehicle. My experience from that summer is hazy now but after watching your video I’m ready to knock this rust out 💪 Thankfully I’m doing it while it’s just a few bubbles lol.
He Chris i can't find the products that u used in this video and the link's are not working any more just wandering if u can updates them for me thanks
Thank you so much! I have a 65 Chevelle that I just discovered has a quarter-sized rust hole in the floor board. Between your two videos on this, I’ll be able to fix it easy peasy!
Thanks Chris. I am fixing the rust on my granpa's 2001 dodge dakota. This video helped so much, I had no car fixing experience before and you made it really clear and simple for me to get the job done. Thanks so much.
Lol!! As someone who does this for a living I hope no one does this. He is 80% correct in the video. Folks if you’re going to do this don’t use that garbage mesh. Rust is like a virus it will always come back so do it right and cut out the damaged area and patch it with new sheet metal, spot weld it on one tack weld at a time (low heat on welder bc sheet metal is thin) grind welds down, use QUALITY etch primer, slick it with QUALITY filler, sand with 80 grit, feather and finish with 180 grit, clean with wax and grease remover, use a QUALITY 2 part primer with spray gun, let dry, wet sand and feather with 400, prep the rest of the entire panel with a gray scotch bright pad, mask off car, clean entire panel with wax and grease remover, use a tack rag on entire panel to remove any dust, use a QUALITY 2 part sealer with spray gun, let dry, use a QUALITY 2 part base coat with a spray gun (3 coats) let dry, knock down any dirt nibs with some 1500 sand paper lightly, use tack rag on entire panel, use a QUALITY clear coat with a spray gun, spray clear, let it flash 10 minutes, put a second heavier coat of clear on, let dry, use 3m trizac polishing system, and now it’s done “professional grade” if you have an Aerosol can in your hand it’s garbage.

Aluminium, not stainless steel!!
How much do you think all of the supplies would cost?
You fucked up the body line and I can still see the dimpled edge from where you sanded down to bare metal
It’s like car herpes
Has anyone successfully try this with little experience ?
